    Ethel
    Meet our Unsung Hero, Ethel

“Ethel came to Recovery Is Happening (RIH) for recovery support from substance use disorder in 2018.  At that time, she had a CHIPS case and 2 daughters placed in foster care. Since that time Ethel has completed treatment, worked closely with a Peer Recovery Specialist, and reached every goal she has set. From getting her children back to volunteering at RIH and then going on to become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist herself. Today she is a full-time employee at RIH providing support for women and children as they strive to reunify and re-build their lives after addiction.” Tiffany, RIH
