Amazon Smile – Check out Amazon Smile. Here you can shop and donate at the same time! Just designate Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota as the charitable organization of your choice, and they take care of the rest. Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible Amazon Smile purchases to Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota.
Volunteer – A significant way you can make an impact on our work is to volunteer your time and energy as a Prevention Advocate at one of our locations, one of our events, a local campaign or event, and/or in your own place of work/worship.
Sponsorship – Sponsor and attend one of our Special Events.
Planned Giving and Endowment – Create an endowment or commit funds to our organization in honor of your legacy or the legacy of your loved ones.
Memorials – Contribute a special gift in memory of a loved one who cared about the issue of child maltreatment, or in honor of a loved one who was a champion for children in your life.
Employee Gift Match – Many times employers will match your gifts to non-profits if you ask them. Please contact Kate below and she will give you more information!

Gifts of Property or Stock – Sometimes it is easier for individuals to gift property or stock when they want to invest financially in preventing maltreatment for our children or in building environments where children are safer and more nurtured. Again, please contact Chris, and she will answer your questions.
United Way Designated Funds – While we are not currently a United Way funded Agency, you do have the ability to tell your place of work that you want your United Way donations to be sent to our agency.
Supplies – We are always in need of supplies for our Circle of Parents groups and ACE Education programs. We have a list of items that are always helpful. Call our office for more information.
Collections – Individuals or groups can raise money by turning e-waste into fundraising cash by collecting items such as used printer and toner cartridges, cell phones, and laptops. Some good information and ideas can be found HERE.

Data and Evaluation Committee Member
The primary purpose of the Data and Evaluation Committee is to measure the impact of MCCC programs and make recommendations on where MCCC should dedicate resources to make the highest impact. To help the executive leadership identify opportunities and decide priorities, the committee oversees: • Data collection systems and processes • Performance reporting • Data analysis and interpretation • Insights and recommendations.

Development Committee Member
The Development Committee develops, monitor and evaluate Minnesota Communities Caring for Children (MCCC) strategic and operational fundraising plan. By identifying, nurturing and facilitating relationships, the Development Committee will effectively link community members and members of the corporate, foundation and governmental community with MCCC in meaningful ways that will ultimately lead to volunteer and financial support.

Finance Committee Member
The Finance Committee assists the board to discharge its obligations in relation to the legal, ethical and financial integrity of the organization, and to maintain its accountability to stakeholders, thereby protecting the good name of, and trust in, Minnesota Communities Caring for Children (MCCC).

Governance Committee Member
The governance committee is responsible for ongoing review and recommendations to enhance the quality and future viability of the board of directors. The work of the committee revolves around board role and responsibilities; board composition; board knowledge; board effectiveness; and board leadership. The main overall responsibility of the governance committee is to assure that there are an adequate number of Board members representing diverse communities with a variety of skills that meet the needs of the organization.

Buron-Campbell Award
Each year, we honor individuals and organizations that help young people faced with adversity build resiliency so they can grow up to be healthy, successful adults. The award was created to honor Lou Buron and Mary Campbell of Omni Broadcasting for their long and outstanding commitment to the prevention of child abuse in Minnesota.
Pinwheel Awards
Each year, Minnesota Communities Caring for Children (MCCC) recognizes statewide tribes and communities that have consistently worked to create safe and healthy environments for children and families. We want to celebrate the crucial work of these communities that are creating spaces and opportunities for their children to thrive by enhancing prevention initiatives and family and children’s services.
