Stocks/Securities
Making a gift of stock to Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota is an excellent choice. It does not matter what tax bracket you're in when you make a gift of appreciated stock. Tax benefits for a donor who has owned appreciated stocks for more than one year are two-fold: capital gains tax is avoided upon transfer to PCA Minnesota and the donor can receive an income tax charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock on the date of the gift. Depending on your tax bracket and the size of the gift, there may be an opportunity to carry the charitable income tax deduction over several years. Making a planned gift allows you to make a contribution over a period of years or as part of an estate plan. Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota welcomes in-kind donations and invites you to contact us to find out whether we are able to accept your donation. Memorial Gifts and Honor Gifts
